The story is about a heroine named Auburn who, by the age of 21, had already lost the most important thing in her life and was now just struggling to make ends meet. “How can a fifteen year-old-girl defend her love when that love is dismissed by everyone?”īut, true to Colleen Hoover's amazing ability to make you feel a range of nearly every single human emotion possible, just a few pages later, I was laughing right out loud. The pain and loss and love were so achingly profound that I couldn't help but be overwhelmed by the emotions. I can honestly say that this was the first time ever that a book made me completely break down crying (like real tears-pouring-down-my-face tears) in the very first chapter. There’s an added layer to it that I absolutely loved but that I won’t mention because discovering it as you read is honestly best.

Watching their ups and downs was a wonderful experience, but my favorite part of this book was really focused on the hurdles in Auburn’s life that she had to overcome.::: FULL REVIEW NOW POSTED ::: SPOILER-FREE :::Įxquisitely heart-wrenching and absolutely unputdownable, Confess is another unique Colleen Hoover masterpiece and one of the must-read books of this year!!įrom the moment I read the blurb, I was intrigued by the story! And once I started reading, I discovered that there’s even more to this story than meets the eye. Their relationship is tender and loving, and it’s so clear that Dallas wants to protect and love her. We understand much more about Auburn’s past than we do about Dallas, but there’s so much to unravel still. I really loved the way this story unfolded. For Auburn it’s the first time they’ve met, but for Dallas, he’s holding a few secrets about when he first saw her…Īuburn is holding a few secrets of her own, and as the story progresses, more and more information is confessed between the two of them. I found myself in love with the characters and invested in their stories, but I feel like I could pick another one up right away this time!Īuburn and Dallas find a connection after a chance meeting on his art studio’s front step. This one though, it was a really good balance of emotion, character development, and plot.

She has twisted me up and wrung me out, and I need a minute before I tackle another one. So when I finish a CoHo book, a lot of times, I’m completely wrecked. Her stories are an immersive experience that will make you forget your real-world exists! Okay, Colleen Hoover can do no wrong in my book.
